Actor Kiefer Sutherland Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Uber Driver following a tense late-night incident that unfolded during an Uber ride in Los Angeles, according to information obtained by TMZ.
Law enforcement sources say the incident began Sunday night after Sutherland had dinner with a friend. Later in the evening, he reportedly requested an Uber Black to take him home. The driver arrived, Sutherland got into the vehicle, and the trip began without any apparent issues.
However, during the ride, the situation reportedly took a sudden turn. Sutherland allegedly asked the driver to pull over and let him out of the car. When the driver refused, Sutherland is said to have repeated the request at least two more times, but the driver still did not comply.
According to the Uber driver’s account to police, the confrontation escalated when Sutherland allegedly threatened to kill him if he did not pull over. The driver then called 911 and claimed that Sutherland physically assaulted him with his hands while inside the vehicle.

Authorities believe a possible language barrier may have contributed to the dispute. Sources say the driver spoke either Russian or Armenian and requested a translator when officers arrived at the scene. The LAPD contacted someone fluent in the driver’s language to assist with communication.
Although the driver did not report any visible injuries, police arrested Sutherland on a felony charge for making a criminal threat. He was later released after posting $50,000 bail. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
